Shock orientation based on track type:
For rough off road tracks with many smaller bumps, normal shock orientation is preferred. Shock dampening is the primary advantage with a lot of suspension movement with the Center of Gravity(CG) height becoming less important. For smooth off road tracks with very smooth surfaces, the inverted shock orientation is more advantageous. A smooth track typically means less suspension movements. Precise suspension dampening becomes secondary, while a lower CG height allows for less weight transfer and faster lap times.
